Tyrrell, Robert (b. ABT 1594, d. 12 JUN 1643)
Note: Robert terrell was a clothier who established himself in Reading, a large market town just west of London, in Berkshire.

He served as a Councilor and Borough Guardian before 1616 and was an "Overseer of the poor" in 1618, a parish duty often given to young married men. He would serve again in that position in 1626 and 1637.

Reading, lying between London, where Parliament was in power, and Oxford, where the King made his headqaurters, was an early focal point of the English Civil War. It was taken by Prince Rupert in the fall of 1642, and the following spring the Earl of Essex laid seige to the town on April 17, 1643.

Robert Tyrell was buried on June 12, 1643, though the cause of his death is not given in the parish register and it is not known if he died of natural causes or military action.
