de Camoys, Thomas (b. , d. 1421)
Note: Thomas de Camoys, fifth Baron Camoys, was a distinguished soldier who served under his cousin, William, Lord Latimer, in the early years of the reign of King Richard II and in John of Gaunt's expeditions against Scotland in 1385 and Castile in 1386.

In the reign of Henry IV he served against the Scots and the French and against the Welsh prince, Owen Glendower. In June of 1403 he received one hundred pounds for his expenses in conducting Joan of Brittany, Henry IV's bride, from Britanny to England.

In 1415 he commanded the left wing of Henry V's army at the Battle of Agincourt and on Apr 23 1416 was made a Knight of the Garter.

His title fell into abeyance at the death of his infant grandson, Hugh, in 1426 and stayed in that state for four hundred and thirteen years, until called out of abeyance in 1839, for Thomas Stoner, who proved his descent from Hugh's sister Margaret.
